Lift and lengthen your lashes with this Voluminizing Mascara with AEROSIL® 200!

The formulation features AEROSIL® 200 which is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 200 m2/g. It is a rheology modifier and stabilizer for a voluminous look.

Procedure for Voluminizing Mascara with AEROSIL® 200

  1. Combine the ingredients Sucrose stearate through adipic acid of phase 1
  2. Heat to 85–90°C to melt the waxes
  3. Add and disperse diethylene glycol glycerin crosspolymer iron oxide
  4. Add and disperse acrylates/octylacrylamide copolymer in cold water, butylene glycol and triethanolamine
  5. Heat while stirring to 85°C, stir until acrylates/octylacrylamide copolymer is completely dissolved
  6. Add phase 2 to phase 1 while stirring, stir for 10 min
  7. Cool to 40°C while stirring and add phase 3, stir for 5 min
  8. Cool to 30–32°C
  9. Homogenize
  10. Viscosity may be adjusted with AEROSIL® 200
